Kerimcan Goren is a London based artist working with multi-disciplinary practices. Receptive surfaces, abstraction, and aftermath are areas of interest amidst explorations concerning the ontology of materials. In Waves of Fear (2017), found high-fashion images are amalgamated with concrete plinths in the process of such enquiries. Developed in response to the closure of Kodak’s paper factory, the sculptures seek to commemorate a moment in history, acknowledging a sense of loss that has come from accelerating technological shifts.
